Terms and Conditions of Beau Vallon Holiday Apartments
These terms and conditions are between Beau Vallon Holiday apartments and the Guest(s) who books the Property.
A non-refundable deposit of £200 or £300 (depending on which apartment booked) is required to confirm your reservation. On receipt of the deposit the reservation will be confirmed. Once a deposit is paid the guest becomes liable for all monies due for the reservation.
The remaining balance is required 8 weeks prior to your arrival. If you are due to arrive within 8 weeks of your booking, the full payment is required.
If the balance payment is not received by the due date we will make every effort to contact you but if we are unsuccessful and the balance payment remains unpaid we will treat your booking as cancelled by you.
Deposits are non-refundable
If you cancel your holiday more than 8 weeks prior to your arrival date and you have made the balance payment for your holiday, the balance payment will be refunded in full.
If you cancel your holiday within 8 weeks prior to your arrival date and you have made the balance payment for your holiday, the balance payment will be refunded if re-letting is achieved and at the re-let rate less an administration fee of £50
If we cancel or amend your booking – We would not expect to have to make any changes to your booking, but should a problem occur resulting in us needing to make alterations to, or cancel your booking, we will inform you as soon as is reasonably practical. If we cancel your Booking, we will refund in full any fees you have paid to us. However, we will not be liable to refund you for any fees you may have paid to any third party in connection with your holiday (including, without limitation, cost of travel, entertainment, activities or insurance).
Cancellation due to COVID
We will only refund your deposit and/or final payment in the following circumstance.
- Guernsey’s Border is closed to Incoming Visitors preventing travel.
Please ensure that you have arranged adequate COVID Travel Insurance cover prior to travel.
NO DEPOSIT/FINAL PAYMENT REFUND WILL BE APPLICABLE IN THE FOLLOWING CIRCUMSTANCES
-Cancellation within 14 days of your trip should you test positive for COVID-19
-Curtailment if you test positive for COVID-19 at your outward departure point and are not allowed to go on your trip
-Curtailment if you test positive on arrival
-Curtailment if you test positive for the virus or are medically quarantined for 24+ hours whilst in destination
-Missed departure or other delays while waiting for late test results
Should a Guest test positive or show symptoms of Covid-19 and require self-isolation, causing an extended stay, then any additional nights will be fully chargeable. Should Beau Vallon not have available accommodation a Guest would be required to find alternative premises to self-isolate.
We strongly advise you to take out insurance for cancellation and medical treatment to cover the cost of your holiday and to ensure COVID cover is included.
Healthcare in Guernsey is provided by the Health & Social Services department and is outside of the UK National Health Service. The European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) is not valid in the Bailiwick. This means that most visitors from the UK will have to pay a fee for all services. Anyone travelling to the Islands, which include Guernsey, Jersey, Alderney, Sark and Herm, will be required to pay for medical treatment should they become ill or injured there after this date. Visitors should therefore take out adequate insurance before travelling and the policy should include cover for emergency medical expenses plus repatriation in order that all treatment costs can be claimed.
No more people should stay in the Property other than those reserved on the booking form. If you have under occupied your accommodation when booking, please advise us of any increase in the number of your party and give names of those being added to the booking. If you significantly change the makeup of the party during your stay in the Property or take any animal into the Property we may be caused to refuse to provide accommodation, or require you to leave it. Any of these circumstances will be treated as a cancellation of the Booking and Beau Vallon shall be under no obligation to refund fees already paid to us in those circumstances. Any refund will be at our sole discretion. The maximum number of guests is noted on the accommodation property page.
Check in: 3pm
Check in is at 3pm but it may be ready earlier. The circumstances on the day vary depending on the time people leave and condition of accommodation.
Check-out: 10.00am on day of departure
Please inform us of your travel arrangements on your arrival and departure day so we can advise the Housekeeper enabling her to manage her schedule – if you leave before 9.30am it is very useful to know as it will help with an early arrival for the next guest.
We regret that pets are not accepted.
All accommodation is strictly non-smoking. Any guest found to be smoking within the Property will be asked to leave the property. No refund of monies paid will be forthcoming and we regret a further charge of £300 will be made if extra Housekeeping and a re-fresh is required to eradicate the smell of smoke.
Smoking is permitted outside BUT we ask guests to do so only if they are not affecting another guest i.e. not outside their property or where they are sitting etc. Please do use the ashtrays provided.
You will be provided a key to your property. We ask that you look after this as a £20 surcharge will be applied for any unreturned keys.
We respectfully request that guests leave the accommodation, equipment and furnishings as they found it. We allocate a set time to service apartments between each guest and if extra Housekeeping is required, we will need to pass on the charge at £16 per hour (see how this will be charged in Damage to the accommodation paragraph below)
Damage to the accommodation or to grounds will be charged at cost.
You agree to allow us or any representative of ours access to the Property at any reasonable time during your stay for the purpose of essential repairs or in an emergency should this be required.
We respectfully request that guests are considerate to other guests with regards to noise, tidiness and behaviour. Anyone causing disturbance to other guests will be asked to leave immediately with no refund of monies paid.
No responsibility can be accepted for injury, or loss of personal effects whilst on the premises.
By paying a deposit to confirm your booking, you are agreeing to these Terms and Conditions, including payment of any charges levied by the property in respect of damage caused during your stay and/or any additional room charges for missing items, keys not returned and for extra cleaning costs. You are aware that you shall be informed by email prior to any monies being taken from your payment method used to pay for the accommodation IF payment is not settled before departure.
The contract between you and us is governed by the law of the Bailiwick of Guernsey and we both agree that any dispute, matter or other issue which arises between us will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Court of Guernsey.
